When he thinks about smiling it ends up as a "put on" smile, teeth gritted and awful. I can get a real smile out of him, but sometimes it takes a few tries to do it. Of course it might be nice to get the class picture, and if I'm doing that I might as well spend the five more bucks for the photo of just him...What would you do?

My kids do the same thing, so what I did was sent a note with the money envelope and said, "Ask him about his race car, if that doesn't work, any word like fart will for sure work."
Hopefully my note isn't hanging in their offices for all to see!

Codi they happen tomorrow, and I love that idea. I kept thinking if only I was there I could tell the photographer... course you'd figure they'd know right? I mean they do a million kids pictures a year ... still I bet they get lazy with it. Rambling tangent heading towards me saying that sending a note is a great idea! And I'm going to copy it, at least then I will know that I've done all I can do to get a real smile :)
