He does have a little more trouble when I give him the small number first (ie 3+7). And if I gave him two large numbers like 7+7 the odds are 50/50 that he'll get it right, he's usually close but he loses track because he counts in his head. I think it might be time to pull out the flashcards! :D

This is a youtube of a 45rpm record that was briefly popular when I was in high school. I don't know what the video part looks like because youtube (or my computer) is not bringing up video, but the audio is the song as I remember it ... and it is what I thought of when I watched the Kiddo talking about his cast ... especially the part about being unable to bend to kiss his bride. The song may be a little over his head, especially the part about having twins because the chainmail has a missing link, but you might enjoy listening to it.
